Main Focus Areas

The Hostess is responsible for delivering outstanding hospitality and service, ensuring that both employees and guests feel warmly welcomed and well-cared for during their visit. This role involves preparing and serving tea, snacks, and refreshments, while also maintaining a pleasant and comfortable environment for Executives and Group Managers.

Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

  • Greet visitors and staff with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression of the office.
  • Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and other refreshments for staff and guests promptly and efficiently.
  • Make regular rounds to serve refreshments to the Executive wing and other designated areas of the office.
  • Set up refreshments for meetings, ensuring a selection of drinks and snacks is available and neatly arranged.
  • Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and serving areas, ensuring they are kept organized and tidy.
  • Take inventory of catering supplies, ensuring the office is well-stocked with the necessary items at all times.
  • Assist with setting up for lunch meetings, functions and office events, ensuring refreshments are readily available for attendees.
  • Monitor tea and coffee stations throughout the day to ensure they are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
  • Other work as required from time to time based on the business and line manager’s requirements.

Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A positive and approachable attitude with a passion for providing outstanding guest service.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment, while staying calm and composed when under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, office environment or customer service is a plus.
  • Knowledge of tea varieties and brewing methods is beneficial.
